Heating and cooling equipment around Spokane works hard: long cold stretches from November into March, then July and August heat that pushes an air conditioner or heat pump to its limit. Our crew repairs and replaces gas and electric furnaces, central air, heat pumps — cold-climate models included — and ductless mini-splits across Spokane and the towns within about 35 minutes of our shop.

Same-day windows go to no-heat and no-cool calls, Monday through Saturday. Each repair is quoted as one written figure that already contains the $99 diagnostic, with up to $50 off an HVAC repair booked online. A replacement gets one written, itemized quote, and up to $500 comes off a full-system install booked through the site-visit form, with the first-year tune-up included.

Services

Mini-splits

Ductless mini-splits for additions, garages, shops and homes without ductwork. We install single-zone systems and quote multi-zone ones on request after a site visit; we also read error codes, repair leaks and fan motors, and deep-clean musty heads.

Spokane Spokane Valley Airway Heights

HVAC maintenance

Fall furnace and spring air conditioning tune-ups from $129: filter, safety checks, combustion and refrigerant readings. Covered by the No-Breakdown Guarantee, which credits the tune-up price against a repair if the system fails that season.

Circuits, panels and refrigerant, planned up front

A new heat pump or furnace needs a dedicated circuit, a disconnect and sometimes panel work. We check the panel at the site visit, and each of those items appears as its own line on the written quote along with the permit, so the install is permitted and inspected and nothing electrical turns up as a surprise on install day. On repairs, a burnt disconnect, an undersized circuit or a breaker that trips every afternoon is diagnosed by the technician already at your equipment, who tells you whether the fault is in the unit or in the home’s wiring.

Refrigerant stays with us. Every technician of ours carries the EPA 608 Universal card along with gauges and a recovery machine, so leak repair and recharge on R-410A, R-22, R-32 and the newer R-454B systems usually happen on the same visit. For budgeting, replacing a failed capacitor starts at $150 and a furnace igniter at $175, while an inverter cold-climate heat pump, with the equipment and installation both in the price, begins at $4,900. All three are Spokane-area starting figures, none is a quote, and your own number is written after the diagnostic or site visit.

Questions we hear

My furnace won’t come on. What can I check first?

Confirm the thermostat is in heat mode with the setpoint a few degrees above the room, and swap its batteries if it takes them. Check that the furnace breaker is on, that the filter isn’t clogged and that the front panel is seated so its door switch closes. If it still won’t run, call us. Any smell of gas changes the plan: get everyone outside and phone Avista or 911 first.

Should I repair my heat pump or replace it?

Age, refrigerant type and the size of the fault decide it. A capacitor or contactor on a ten-year-old unit is a sensible repair. A failed compressor on an aging R-22 system usually is not. We give you the repair price in writing and say plainly when replacement makes more sense; in that case the $99 is the entire bill.

Do you install cold-climate heat pumps?

Yes. They are common on our map, especially on acreage north of Spokane and around the lakes, where homes are moving off electric furnaces and baseboard heat. We size the system to the house, check whether the panel can carry it and check which utility rebates apply before quoting.

What happens during a tune-up?

We check or replace the filter, clean what needs cleaning, test the safety controls and measure how the system is actually running — combustion on a furnace, refrigerant pressures and temperatures on an air conditioner or heat pump. Tune-ups start from $129, and if the system then breaks down before the season is out, the No-Breakdown Guarantee puts that price toward the repair.

My high-efficiency furnace’s condensate line froze. Is that common here?

Fairly common, especially where the line runs through an unheated utility room or exits through a cold wall. Water backs up until the furnace shuts itself off, and sometimes spills onto the floor. Call rather than trying to thaw it yourself. We thaw the line, then reroute or heat-trace it so it stays clear; around Spokane that job starts at $150.
