Pricing, in writing
One diagnostic to know. One written number to fix.
No hourly meter and no trip fee stacked on the diagnostic. The $99 covers the visit and the diagnosis, the repair is one written price with it already inside, and installs are quoted after a site visit that costs nothing.

How the diagnostic works
A repair visit starts at $99. That pays for the drive to any address within about 35 minutes of the shop, a hands-on diagnosis with a meter — plus refrigerant gauges or a combustion analyzer on heating and cooling — and a written flat price for the repair.
Say yes and the diagnostic is already counted inside that price, so the diagnosis and the repair never show up as two separate charges. Say no and $99 is the whole invoice, and the findings are yours. If the job needs a part we have to order, we come back to finish with no second trip fee, and the approved price does not move.
Savings for booking online
A request sent through the form on this site saves us a phone call and a callback, and we pass that along. There is no code to enter. Book online and, once you approve the written quote:
- Appliance repair: up to $22 comes off the repair
- HVAC repair (furnace, central air, heat pump or mini-split): up to $50 comes off the repair
- Full-system install: up to $500 off a furnace, central air or heat pump replacement booked through the site-visit form, first-year tune-up included
The amount scales with the job, so a single-zone mini-split earns less than a full furnace-and-heat-pump changeout, and a quick part swap less than a major repair. It is one per job, it never applies to the diagnostic, and it doesn’t combine with other install offers. Tune-ups start from $129 and carry the No-Breakdown Guarantee: if the system we tuned breaks down that season, we credit what you paid for the tune-up toward the repair.

Installs, financing and rebates
Every install price on this site is a starting price, and it already covers the equipment and the installation together. Multi-zone mini-splits carry no posted figure and are quoted on request, since the number of indoor heads and line-set routes decides them. Your own price for a new furnace, central air system, heat pump or mini-split follows a site visit, and there is no charge for that visit or for the written quote. Size, ductwork, venting, the electrical panel and available rebates all change the number, so we look before we price. The quote is itemized and good for 30 days, and the electrical hookup and the permit are listed in it as their own lines.
Financing is available on installs, with the cash price and the financed price set side by side so nothing hides inside a monthly payment. We also check which utility rebates apply, whether the house is on Avista, Inland Power, Modern Electric or Vera. Installs take a written deposit when the equipment is ordered.
What moves the number
The fault. Most repairs come down to one predictable part. An AC or heat pump capacitor starts at $150, a furnace flame sensor at $100 and a washer drain pump at $175. A sealed-system or compressor job costs more, and you see that figure in writing before you agree to anything.
The equipment. Built-in and panel-front appliances, communicating HVAC systems and pro-style ranges take longer to open up and button up properly. That is time, not a surcharge, and it is already part of the number you approve.
What never moves it. No hourly labor that climbs while someone stands in your basement, no distance surcharge inside the map, no Saturday surcharge, no second trip fee. Every repair and install price shown on this site is a starting price, marked “from”: the point where a similar job begins around Spokane. None of them is a quote, and the exact number is the one the technician writes into your estimate after the diagnostic or the install site visit.
Questions we hear
Do I pay the diagnostic on top of the repair?
No. The $99 is part of the written repair price, not an extra line added to it. If the technician quotes a repair and you approve it, that quoted number is your total and the diagnostic is already in it. Only when you decline the repair does the diagnostic stand alone as the bill.
What if the repair needs a second visit?
The return trip counts as part of the same job, so there is no second trip fee. It usually happens when a part has to be ordered, such as a specific control board or a component for a built-in appliance. The written number you approved on the first visit is still the number you pay once everything is finished.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can tell you whether a symptom sounds routine or serious, and whether the equipment sounds past the point of being worth fixing. Every repair and install price on this site is a starting price, which shows where a job begins. An exact written price needs a technician in front of the machine with a meter, which is what the diagnostic pays for.
Do you offer financing?
On installs, yes. Ask about it at the site visit and the written quote will show the cash price and the financed price next to each other, so you can compare real totals instead of a monthly figure. Repairs are simply paid when the work is finished.
How and when do I pay?
By card, cash or check once the work is finished. Repairs need nothing up front. Installs are different: when we order the equipment we take a deposit, and the amount is set down in writing before you commit. The remainder is paid when the job is done.
Does the online saving apply to the diagnostic?
No. It comes off the repair you approve, never the $99 diagnostic. Book through the form and up to $22 comes off an appliance repair or up to $50 off an HVAC repair, scaled to the size of the job, one per job. For a full-system install booked through the site-visit form, the figure is up to $500 off, first-year tune-up included.
