Booking and texting, pricing, repairs, installs and rebates. If your question isn’t covered here, call or text — a two-minute conversation usually settles it.

Booking & texting

Can I text instead of calling?

Yes. (509) 370-5361 takes text messages as well as calls. Include the service address, what kind of equipment it is and a line about the symptom. A picture of the rating plate, or of the code flashing on the control panel, lets the technician bring the right part and often means the repair is finished in one trip.

How soon can you get here?

No-heat, no-cool and warm-refrigerator calls are given same-day windows from Monday to Saturday. Everything else typically lands within the same week, frequently the next day. The earlier in the day you reach us, the better the odds of a visit that afternoon.

Do you work on Saturdays and Sundays?

Saturdays, yes, at the same prices as any other day — there is no Saturday surcharge. On Sunday the shop is closed. Calls and messages that arrive after hours go to voicemail and get returned first thing on the next working day. Current hours are shown on every page of this site.

Which towns do you cover?

Spokane itself, plus every community inside a roughly 35-minute drive from West Columbia Avenue: Airway Heights, Cheney, Colbert, Deer Park, Liberty Lake, Mead, Medical Lake, Millwood, Newman Lake, Nine Mile Falls, Otis Orchards and Spokane Valley. Prices are identical across the whole area, with nothing added for distance.

Are you the company once called Adam & Sam Brothers Repair?

We are. The business renamed itself Larch HVAC & Appliance in 2026. The shop, crew and phone number are unchanged, our Google reviews came along with the renamed listing, and warranties from the old name are honored.

Pricing

What do I get for the $99 diagnostic?

A technician at your door anywhere in the service area, a hands-on diagnosis using a meter — and on heating and cooling, refrigerant gauges or a combustion analyzer — then one flat written price for the fix. That price already contains the diagnostic if you approve it. If you turn the repair down, the diagnostic is the only charge.

Why don’t you post exact repair prices?

Because the same symptom can be a small part or an expensive one. Every repair and install price on our pages is a starting price, marked “from”, so you know where a job begins, but none of them is a quote. The real number is the one written after the diagnostic, and it does not change once you approve it.

How does booking online save money?

Requesting service through the form instead of calling takes up to $22 off an appliance repair or up to $50 off an HVAC repair, applied to the repair you approve rather than the diagnostic. The amount scales with the job, there is one per job, and no code is needed.

What is the No-Breakdown Guarantee?

It comes with our tune-ups, which start from $129. If a furnace, heat pump or central air system we tuned breaks down during the season that follows, the cost of the tune-up is credited against the repair. It is how we stand behind the inspection itself, not just the checklist.

How do I pay?

Card, cash or check, paid once the job is finished and you have seen the equipment run. Repairs require nothing up front. Installs work differently: when the equipment is ordered we take a deposit, with the amount put in writing first. Either way, you leave with a written warranty.

Repairs

What do you repair?

On the heating and cooling side: furnaces (gas or electric), central air, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits. In the house: washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, cooktops and ovens, dishwashers and ice makers. For businesses: walk-ins, reach-ins and prep tables. We do not work on water heaters, plumbing or wood stoves.

Which brands do you work on?

Heating and cooling: Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Rheem, Goodman, Bryant, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu and American Standard. Appliances: Whirlpool, GE, LG, Maytag, Frigidaire, KitchenAid, Bosch, Electrolux and Kenmore, Samsung laundry and ranges, and built-in lines such as Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking, Wolf and Miele.

Do you handle refrigerant yourselves?

Yes. The technicians who do refrigerant work hold EPA 608 Universal certification, which covers every system type. Recovery, leak repair and recharge on central air, heat pumps, mini-splits, refrigerators and commercial coolers happen in-house, with gauges and a recovery machine on the van — R-410A, R-22, R-32, R-454B, R-134a and R-600a included.

Will most repairs be done in one visit?

Most, yes. Van stock covers the parts that fail most — capacitors, contactors, igniters, flame sensors and pressure switches for heating and cooling, the pumps, valves and elements that wear out in appliances, plus common boards and motors. If a part has to come from a supplier, coming back to fit it adds no second trip fee, and what you approved is what you pay.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every finished repair and every install comes with a written warranty. If the same fault comes back within the warranty window, the return visit costs you nothing. You get the warranty before the van leaves, after we run the equipment through a full cycle and tidy up. Paperwork issued when we were still Adam & Sam Brothers Repair is honored too.

Installs & rebates

What does an install site visit cost?

Nothing. A technician measures the house, looks over the ductwork, venting and electrical panel, asks how the rooms feel through the year and writes an itemized quote that stays good for 30 days. Booking that visit through the site-visit form also makes a full-system install eligible for up to $500 off, with the first-year tune-up included.

What does the written install quote include?

Every piece gets its own line: equipment, line set or venting, pad, thermostat, electrical hookup, permit and haul-away of the old unit. The quote stays good for 30 days, and every install is permitted and inspected.

Do cold-climate heat pumps make sense in Spokane winters?

Often, yes. Cold-climate and variable-speed models keep heating at temperatures that stalled older heat pumps, and many homes on our map now run them as the main heat. In colder spots such as Deer Park, Colbert or Newman Lake we size carefully and often keep a furnace or heat strip as backup. The site visit settles which setup fits your house.

Can you help with utility rebates?

We check which rebates your utility offers for the equipment you are considering, whether you are served by Inland Power, Avista, Vera or Modern Electric, and factor them into the quote. Programs change during the year, so we confirm what applies at the time of the site visit rather than promise a figure in advance.

Is financing available on a new system?

Yes. Ask during the site visit and the quote will show the cash price beside the financed price, so the real cost is visible rather than buried in a monthly payment. A written deposit is taken when the equipment is ordered, and the balance is settled when the install is finished.
