Ice Maker Repair in Mill Creek, WA

Mill Creek’s water is one of the significant advantages for ice maker owners in this city. Snohomish County PUD water from the Cedar and Tolt River watersheds is very soft — among the softest municipal water in the greater Seattle area. The hard water scale that destroys ice maker inlet valves and clogs fill tubes in Eastern Washington within 2-3 years of installation does not accumulate in Mill Creek. Ice maker failures here are mechanical and electronic: the module, the inlet valve solenoid, the ice maker arm, or the water supply line. This generally means repairs are less expensive and have longer service life than the same repairs in hard water communities.

Samsung Ice Maker Repair — Mill Creek

Samsung ice maker module failure is the most common ice maker call we receive from Mill Creek — particularly from Sweetwater Ranch, The Parks, Silver Crest, and Juniper where Samsung French door refrigerators were installed in the 2013-2019 kitchen renovation wave. The ice maker stops producing ice entirely while the refrigerator continues cooling normally. Sometimes there’s an error code; sometimes the ice maker simply goes silent.

Samsung ice maker modules are expensive: typically $150-$200 or more for the module alone, which is significantly higher than Whirlpool or GE equivalents at $40-$80. We disclose the exact part cost for your specific Samsung model in our fixed quote before ordering anything. For Samsung refrigerators that are 9 or more years old where the module cost is approaching the machine’s remaining useful value, we tell you that honestly. For machines still under Samsung warranty, our Samsung knowledge may help verify coverage — call us with your model and serial number.

Whirlpool and Kenmore Ice Maker Repair — Country Club Area

Whirlpool ice maker repairs are among the most straightforward and least expensive residential ice maker calls we perform. Whirlpool inlet valve solenoid wear — the ice maker fills slowly, fills partially, or stops filling entirely — is the most common Whirlpool ice maker failure. The solenoid itself costs $30-$50 and the repair is fast. Kenmore refrigerators that are Whirlpool-manufactured (identifiable from the model number prefix) follow the same pattern with the same parts.

The ice maker arm on older Whirlpool and Kenmore units — the mechanical arm that stops the ice maker when the bin is full — occasionally gets stuck in the up position, stopping ice production even when the bin is empty. This is sometimes just a stuck arm that needs to be reset; sometimes the arm assembly needs replacement. Either way, it’s an inexpensive same-day fix that we encounter regularly from the Country Club area’s older machines.

LG Ice Maker Repair — Mill Creek

LG ice maker failures in Mill Creek’s 2013-2019 renovation-era French door refrigerators usually present as the ice maker stopping while the refrigerator continues cooling normally. LG ice maker arm mechanical failure and LG ice maker module failure are the two most common causes. LG parts and diagnostic approaches differ from other brands — we’re familiar with LG ice maker systems from regular service across the north Seattle area. Fixed quote with exact part cost before we start.

Undercounter Ice Makers — Country Club Renovated Properties

Some of the fully renovated Country Club Estates and Fairway properties include dedicated undercounter ice makers in wet bars or entertainment kitchens — Scotsman, U-Line, or EdgeStar units that function essentially as small commercial ice machines. These are separate from the refrigerator ice maker and require different service knowledge: condenser fan motors, water distribution systems, harvest cycle issues, and the biofilm growth that Pacific NW humidity accelerates in standing water systems. We service all undercounter ice maker brands throughout the Country Club area.

Commercial Ice Machine Repair — Mill Creek Town Center

The Town Center restaurant cluster on Main Street — Rare Society, FROST, Tablas Woodstone Taverna, Azul Restaurant, La Palmera, Field House, MOMO Sushi — along with the Central Market grocery anchor all depend on commercial ice machines. Rare Society’s bar service, FROST’s beverage service, and the food businesses throughout Town Center generate ice machine calls that we treat with the same same-day priority as any commercial refrigerator emergency. A commercial ice machine failure at Rare Society on a Saturday evening is a genuine business problem — every drink on the menu is affected. We respond accordingly.

Pacific Northwest humidity creates biofilm growth inside commercial ice machine water systems that is more aggressive than in drier climates. Commercial ice machines in Mill Creek businesses should be professionally cleaned and sanitized every 6 months for Snohomish County Health compliance and for equipment longevity. We offer commercial ice machine cleaning service for all Town Center businesses.

Water Filter Maintenance

Replace your refrigerator water filter every 6 months regardless of the indicator light. Pacific NW ambient humidity can allow biofilm to develop in old filters that affects ice clarity and taste even when the water source itself is clean. Mill Creek’s soft water makes the filter’s job easy — but old filters in humid Pacific Northwest environments still develop biofilm faster than the 6-month schedule accounts for.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does hard water damage ice makers in Mill Creek?

No — Mill Creek’s Cedar/Tolt water is very soft. No calcium scale on inlet valves or fill tubes. All ice maker failures here are mechanical. Replace your water filter every 6 months to prevent Pacific NW biofilm affecting ice taste.

How much does Samsung ice maker repair cost in Mill Creek?

Samsung ice maker modules typically run $150-$200 or more — considerably more than Whirlpool or GE equivalents at $40-$80. We quote the exact cost for your specific Samsung model before any work begins. For older Samsung units where repair cost approaches replacement value, we tell you that directly.

Do you service commercial ice machines for Mill Creek Town Center restaurants?

Yes — Rare Society, FROST, Tablas, Azul, La Palmera, Field House, and all Town Center businesses. Same-day priority for commercial ice machine emergencies on Main Street and SR-527 corridor. Scotsman, Hoshizaki, Manitowoc, and Ice-O-Matic are the most common brands we service from Town Center.

I am so thankful for their friendly and professional service! They were able to schedule me quickly and diagnose my fridge issues immediately! There was a delay is service only because the manufacture had their email wrong, and our compressor took awhile to ship. As soon as the compressor arrived, Adam & Sam Brothers contacted me and scheduled repair the next day. It is such a relief to find a company that is professional through & through! They did exactly what they said they were going to do and even showed up on time to do the repair! Their contact info is permanently in my phone, just in case another HVAC decides to break down! Thank you!

We are so appreciative of this company's service. I called in the morning and was satisfied knowing that someone would help us with our dryer, which was full of wet clothing and no longer heating. The window of time for expecting a technician was accurate.A technician arrived at our home after 7 (p.m.) and worked till after 9 (p.m.)He rapidly and expertly assessed the problem. He had all the needed parts with him.He worked non-stop replacing parts,he also cleaned years of built up lint in the vent hose and I am now pleased to know how to maintain that myself. The technician was pleasant, professional, efficient, and thorough,as one would expect. We did receive an email invoice with the total charge only, however, it would be helpful if they would offer an itemized invoice. In hindsight,we were probably overcharged for the completed work.We agreed to the the offered quote as it was late in the evening,he traveled far and we were pleased to have him do a great job.I highly recommend Adam & Sam brothers repair.
