Ice Maker Repair in Kenmore, WA (ZIP 98028)

Kenmore’s premium residential character — homes valued from $730,000 to over $1.6 million in the Moorlands and Uplake neighborhoods — creates a higher concentration of dedicated undercounter ice makers than most Seattle-area communities its size. The custom kitchens in Moorlands’ riverfront homes and Inglewood’s wooded custom builds often include Scotsman or U-Line undercounter ice makers in wet bars and entertaining areas alongside the primary refrigerator ice maker. When the Kenmore Air seaplanes launch from Lake Washington nearby and families return from Log Boom Park or St. Edward State Park hikes, ice matters — for post-activity drinks on the deck, for entertaining friends who share the Lake Washington lifestyle.

Kenmore’s water is extremely soft — Cedar/Tolt watershed, essentially no hard water scale. Ice maker inlet valves and fill tubes in Kenmore homes don’t accumulate the calcium that clogs them in Eastern Washington within a few years. Failures are mechanical: module wear, inlet valve solenoid burnout, ice maker arm failure. Replace refrigerator water filters every 6 months — Pacific NW lake humidity can contribute to biofilm in old filters that affects ice taste even with pristine source water.

Residential Ice Maker Service by Kenmore Neighborhood

Moorlands — Sub-Zero ice makers, undercounter Scotsman and U-Line, Sammamish River entertaining homes. Moorlands custom homes frequently have both a primary refrigerator ice maker and a dedicated undercounter ice maker in a wet bar or entertainment kitchen. Sub-Zero’s ice maker system — specific to their sealed refrigeration architecture — requires brand-familiar diagnosis. Scotsman and U-Line undercounter units in Moorlands entertainment spaces are essentially residential versions of commercial ice machines: condenser fan motor failure and water distribution issues are the most common failures in enclosed cabinet installations. We service all undercounter brands throughout Moorlands.

Uplake — lake activity households, post-activity ice demand, KitchenAid and LG ice makers. Uplake’s active lakeside households — returning from summer kayaking at Log Boom Park, from open water swimming, from cycling the Burke-Gilman Trail — genuinely use their ice makers for post-activity refreshment in a way that makes ice maker reliability particularly meaningful in summer. KitchenAid ice maker inlet valve failures and LG ice maker arm mechanical failures are the most common Uplake residential calls. Both are same-day repairs when parts are in stock.

Inglewood — Samsung and LG ice maker modules, forest-setting homes. Inglewood’s wooded setting and established homes have Samsung and LG French door refrigerators from 2013-2018 purchases — units whose ice maker modules are entering statistical peak failure range. Samsung ice maker modules run $150-$200 or more versus $40-$80 for Whirlpool or GE equivalents. We disclose the exact cost in our fixed quote for the specific Samsung model before any work begins.

Commercial Ice Machine Repair — Cedar + Elm and Kenmore’s Restaurant Corridor

Cedar + Elm and The Lodge at St. Edward State Park. Cedar + Elm — one of the most acclaimed Pacific Northwest dining experiences in King County, serving seasonal regionally sourced cuisine in the historic dining room of The Lodge at St. Edward State Park — runs commercial ice machines for restaurant and event service through the year-round lodge operation. Father Mulligan’s Heritage Bar in the same complex serves cocktails and bar food continuously. The Lodge at St. Edward operates as a full-service hotel and resort — commercial ice machines run 24/7 for guest and food service. A commercial ice machine failure at The Lodge during a weekend wedding event is a genuine operational emergency. We provide same-day priority response for The Lodge’s commercial ice machine service needs.

NE Bothell Way restaurant corridor — De La Soil, Kataliya Thai, Toma Sushi, Buddha Bruddah. Downtown Kenmore’s NE Bothell Way restaurant strip has commercial ice machines serving continuous lunch and dinner service. De La Soil’s upscale dining, Kataliya Thai House’s authentic Thai menu, Toma Sushi Restaurant and Bar’s sushi service, and Buddha Bruddah’s Asian comfort food — each depends on a commercial ice machine that works through service hours. Same-day priority response for all NE Bothell Way commercial ice machine emergencies.

The Bine Beer & Food and Kenmore bar operations. Bar and craft beer operations in Kenmore — The Bine Beer & Food and surrounding establishments — have some of the highest ice consumption per establishment in any commercial category. A failed ice machine during a busy Friday service affects every drink served. Same-day priority for Kenmore bar and food service commercial ice machine calls.

Pacific NW lake humidity creates biofilm risk inside commercial ice machine water systems similar to the broader Puget Sound region. Commercial ice machines in Kenmore should be professionally cleaned every 6 months — both for King County Health Department compliance and for equipment longevity in this environment. We offer commercial ice machine cleaning service throughout Kenmore.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does hard water damage ice makers in Kenmore?

They came to fix our A/C. They accurately diagnosed and repaired our air-conditioning in less than an hour. He even cleaned the inside of the A/C and made sure no mess was left behind. Very polite and professional.

He was able to come same day and gave us an hour window instead of 4 or 6 like other shops. He was clean, kind, professional, and very fast. He had all the parts and we are very satisfied.

I am so thankful for their friendly and professional service! They were able to schedule me quickly and diagnose my fridge issues immediately! There was a delay is service only because the manufacture had their email wrong, and our compressor took awhile to ship. As soon as the compressor arrived, Adam & Sam Brothers contacted me and scheduled repair the next day. It is such a relief to find a company that is professional through & through! They did exactly what they said they were going to do and even showed up on time to do the repair! Their contact info is permanently in my phone, just in case another HVAC decides to break down! Thank you!

We are so appreciative of this company's service. I called in the morning and was satisfied knowing that someone would help us with our dryer, which was full of wet clothing and no longer heating. The window of time for expecting a technician was accurate.A technician arrived at our home after 7 (p.m.) and worked till after 9 (p.m.)He rapidly and expertly assessed the problem. He had all the needed parts with him.He worked non-stop replacing parts,he also cleaned years of built up lint in the vent hose and I am now pleased to know how to maintain that myself. The technician was pleasant, professional, efficient, and thorough,as one would expect. We did receive an email invoice with the total charge only, however, it would be helpful if they would offer an itemized invoice. In hindsight,we were probably overcharged for the completed work.We agreed to the the offered quote as it was late in the evening,he traveled far and we were pleased to have him do a great job.I highly recommend Adam & Sam brothers repair.
