Refrigerator Repair in Edmonds, WA

Edmonds is a city where a broken refrigerator feels more urgent than it might elsewhere — because Edmonds kitchens are genuinely stocked. The homeowners who live within walking distance of the Edmonds Farmers Market on Bell Street, who pick up fresh seafood from the waterfront before heading home, who entertain in renovated Bowl-area homes with Sub-Zero refrigerators flush-mounted in custom cabinetry — these are households where a failed refrigerator means real loss, not just inconvenience. Adam & Sam Brothers Repair provides same-day refrigerator repair throughout all of Edmonds with a fixed quote before we start. Our Mountlake Terrace base puts us 10-15 minutes from every Edmonds neighborhood via Edmonds Way (SR 104).

Edmonds’ Puget Sound location creates specific refrigerator conditions. The salt-adjacent marine air — carried inland from the ferry terminal and Brackett’s Landing by the prevailing westerlies — is more aggressive toward rubber door gaskets and outdoor condenser components than the fresh-water marine air of inland Snohomish County communities. Refrigerators in homes on the western edges of Seaview near Olympic View Drive, in the Bowl neighborhoods closest to Sunset Avenue, and throughout Meadowdale on the western corridors toward Meadowdale Beach Park see accelerated door gasket deterioration and mold growth. A Seaview or Bowl refrigerator that runs constantly may have a compromised door seal allowing humid salt air in, forcing the compressor to run longer cycles. We inspect door gaskets on every Edmonds refrigerator service call.

Refrigerator Service by Edmonds Neighborhood

Downtown Edmonds — “The Bowl” — Main St, Dayton St, Bell St, Alder St, 3rd Ave N. The historic homes in the Bowl — from the 1920s Craftsman bungalows on Alder Street to the mid-century properties on the hillside streets above 5th Avenue — have been renovated by Edmonds’ professional community with premium kitchen appliances. Sub-Zero built-in refrigerators, KitchenAid French door units, and LG Studio series models are common in the Bowl’s updated kitchens. After dinner at Salt & Iron on Main Street or Girardi’s Osteria — Edmonds landmarks both — the refrigerator in the home around the corner is likely more expensive than the one in most Snohomish County homes. Sub-Zero sealed system service and KitchenAid dual-evaporator diagnosis require brand-specific knowledge. We have it, and we service these brands throughout the Bowl with a fixed quote.

Seaview — 9th Ave S, Puget Dr, Olympic View Dr, 7th Ave S. Seaview’s quiet streets of well-maintained mid-century homes — many with Puget Sound views from the western lots along Olympic View Drive — have a mix of original and replacement refrigerators. Homes that have been in the same family for decades often have reliable older Whirlpool or Kenmore units still running. Recently renovated Seaview homes tend toward LG and Samsung French door refrigerators. LG refrigerators from 2012 onward have a well-documented linear compressor failure — and for a Seaview home where the refrigerator was an afterthought in an otherwise premium renovation, this can be a surprise. We diagnose and assess honestly: repair vs replacement based on actual unit age and part cost.

Westgate — 9th Ave N corridor, near Yost Park, Westgate Dr. Westgate’s family-friendly streets near Yost Park’s extensive trail system have homes from the 1960s-80s alongside renovated properties. The Westgate commercial node — anchored by Bistro 76 and the neighborhood retail along the 9th Ave N / Westgate Dr corridor — generates commercial refrigeration calls alongside the residential service throughout surrounding streets. Homes on Westgate’s western edge nearest the Puget Sound viewshed experience stronger salt air exposure than those farther east — condenser coil maintenance is particularly important for these properties. We clean condensers on every Westgate refrigerator service call.

Meadowdale — 75th Ave W, 76th Ave W, near Meadowdale Beach Park. Meadowdale’s family-oriented neighborhood — anchored by Meadowdale Beach Park’s direct shoreline access and the Meadowdale Playfields — has homes from multiple construction eras. The neighborhood’s proximity to the beach means genuine salt air exposure for western-corridor homes. Samsung and LG French door refrigerators from recent kitchen renovations are the most frequent Meadowdale service calls. Samsung ice maker failures — module and inlet valve — appear regularly from Meadowdale addresses where updated kitchens installed Samsung appliances from big-box retailers.

Talbot Park — Talbot Rd, Sound view properties. Talbot Park’s custom and semi-custom homes with Puget Sound and Olympic Mountain views represent the highest concentration of premium refrigerators in Edmonds. Sub-Zero column refrigerators, Wolf refrigeration units, and integrated panel-ready refrigerators are standard in these custom kitchens. When service is needed, these units require technician familiarity with the brand’s specific sealed system design — not just a standard refrigerator diagnostic. We service all premium refrigerator brands throughout Talbot Park.

Five Corners — 212th St SW, 84th Ave W, Bowdoin Way. Five Corners — Edmonds’ eastern commercial hub anchored by Bar Dojo, Casa Oaxaca, and the neighborhood retail along 212th Street SW — has residential streets with more modestly priced homes than the waterfront neighborhoods. Whirlpool, GE, and Maytag mid-range refrigerators from the 1990s-2000s are common in Five Corners homes. Start relay failures on older Whirlpool units, defrost system failures on 10-15 year old machines, and the occasional LG compressor failure from a home that replaced an old unit with a new LG — these are the Five Corners refrigerator service profile. Inexpensive, accessible repairs on machines that are worth fixing.

Most Common Refrigerator Failures in Edmonds

LG and Kenmore linear compressor failure (2012+). Common throughout Edmonds’ renovated homes in Seaview and Meadowdale. Complete cooling failure. Honest repair vs replacement assessment based on unit age.

Door gasket deterioration — accelerated by Puget Sound marine air. Salt-adjacent humidity accelerates gasket mold and seal failure faster than inland communities. Common throughout the Bowl, Seaview, and Meadowdale western corridors.

Samsung ice maker failure. Module and inlet valve failures on Samsung French door units throughout Meadowdale and Seaview. Samsung modules run $150-$200+ — disclosed in fixed quote before work begins.

Defrost system failure on mid-age units. 10-15 year old refrigerators in Five Corners and Westgate homes — ice buildup on evaporator causing uneven temperatures.

Sub-Zero and premium brand service. Bowl and Talbot Park sealed system and compressor service requiring brand-specific diagnostic knowledge.

Fixed Quote Before We Start — Edmonds Refrigerator Repair

Every refrigerator repair in Edmonds starts with a full diagnosis and a fixed quote before we begin. No hidden fees. Call early and in most cases we can reach your Edmonds home the same day.

Does Puget Sound salt air affect refrigerators in Edmonds?

He was able to come same day and gave us an hour window instead of 4 or 6 like other shops. He was clean, kind, professional, and very fast. He had all the parts and we are very satisfied.

I am so thankful for their friendly and professional service! They were able to schedule me quickly and diagnose my fridge issues immediately! There was a delay is service only because the manufacture had their email wrong, and our compressor took awhile to ship. As soon as the compressor arrived, Adam & Sam Brothers contacted me and scheduled repair the next day. It is such a relief to find a company that is professional through & through! They did exactly what they said they were going to do and even showed up on time to do the repair! Their contact info is permanently in my phone, just in case another HVAC decides to break down! Thank you!

We are so appreciative of this company's service. I called in the morning and was satisfied knowing that someone would help us with our dryer, which was full of wet clothing and no longer heating. The window of time for expecting a technician was accurate.A technician arrived at our home after 7 (p.m.) and worked till after 9 (p.m.)He rapidly and expertly assessed the problem. He had all the needed parts with him.He worked non-stop replacing parts,he also cleaned years of built up lint in the vent hose and I am now pleased to know how to maintain that myself. The technician was pleasant, professional, efficient, and thorough,as one would expect. We did receive an email invoice with the total charge only, however, it would be helpful if they would offer an itemized invoice. In hindsight,we were probably overcharged for the completed work.We agreed to the the offered quote as it was late in the evening,he traveled far and we were pleased to have him do a great job.I highly recommend Adam & Sam brothers repair.
