AC Repair, Maintenance & Installation in Spokane, WA

When your air conditioner fails during a Spokane summer heat wave — with outdoor temperatures pushing past 100°F — it is not just uncomfortable, it can be dangerous. Adam & Sam Brothers Repair provides same-day AC repair, pre-season maintenance, and full AC installation throughout Spokane and surrounding communities. Fixed quote before we start. No hidden fees. Licensed technicians ready to respond fast.

Spokane summers are among the most demanding in Washington State for air conditioning equipment. While coastal cities rarely exceed 85°F, Spokane regularly sees temperatures above 100°F for days at a stretch — pushing AC systems far beyond what they experience in mild climates. Spokane’s extreme heat causes capacitors, contactors, and condenser fan motors to fail under sustained high-temperature operation. Newer AC systems running on R-454B refrigerant are highly efficient, but parts are significantly more expensive than on older R-22 and R-410A systems — a condenser fan motor on a modern variable-speed system can run $400-$500, versus $100 on an older unit. Our Spokane technicians stock the most common parts and diagnose accurately so you know the real cost before we start.

AC Repair in Spokane — Most Common Problems

AC not cooling — low refrigerant from a leak, failed capacitor, dirty condenser coil, or compressor failure. AC running constantly but not reaching temperature — refrigerant issue, dirty air filter, or undersized system. AC making unusual noises — condenser fan motor bearing failure or refrigerant line vibration. AC tripping the breaker — compressor drawing too much current from heat stress or electrical fault. AC not turning on — contactor failure, thermostat issue, or control board problem. We carry capacitors, contactors, and condenser fan motors in our Spokane service vehicles for same-day repair.

AC Maintenance & Tune-Up in Spokane

Spokane’s hot summers make pre-season AC maintenance essential. A unit that hasn’t been serviced going into a 100°F heat wave is a breakdown waiting to happen — and AC repair calls peak in July and August when scheduling is most difficult. An annual spring tune-up includes condenser coil cleaning, refrigerant level check, capacitor and contactor inspection, electrical connection tightening, thermostat calibration, and airflow assessment. This maintenance visit costs far less than an emergency repair call during a heat wave. We offer scheduled spring maintenance programs for Spokane homeowners.

AC Installation & Replacement in Spokane — Why Buying Through Us Saves You Money

Many Spokane homeowners consider buying AC equipment themselves through sites like HVAC Direct and hiring a contractor for installation only — thinking this cuts out the contractor’s markup. In practice, it often costs more.

We hold contractor accounts with professional distributors including Ferguson and HVAC Direct at wholesale pricing well below retail. A Goodman or similar unit you see listed online at $2,000 might cost us $1,300 through our contractor account. We can sell and install that same unit — often for less than you would pay buying it retail yourself — and we handle delivery, warranty registration, and any warranty claims. When a problem arises under warranty, our contractor account gets faster resolution than an individual homeowner who made a one-time purchase. Call us first — we will show you the comparison honestly.

If your Spokane AC system is over 12-15 years old or requires a repair that approaches 50% of replacement cost, a new installation is often the smarter investment. Modern AC systems are significantly more efficient than units from even 10 years ago. Our licensed Spokane technicians handle system selection, sizing, installation, permit filing with the City of Spokane, and final inspection. All installations include a full warranty.

Fixed Quote Before We Start — Spokane AC Service

Every AC repair, maintenance, and installation in Spokane starts with a full assessment and a fixed quote. No estimates that grow. No hidden charges. You approve — then we proceed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer same-day AC repair in Spokane?

Yes. We provide same-day AC repair in Spokane 6 days a week. During peak summer heat, call as early as possible for priority scheduling.

Is it cheaper to buy an AC unit myself and hire you for installation?

Usually not. We have contractor accounts with Ferguson and HVAC Direct at wholesale pricing below retail. We can often sell and install equipment for less than you would pay buying it retail — and you get contractor-level warranty support. Call us and we will show you the actual numbers.

When should I schedule AC maintenance in Spokane?

Spring — before Spokane’s summer heat arrives. A pre-season tune-up catches low refrigerant, dirty coils, and weak capacitors before they cause a failure during a 100°F heat wave when scheduling is hardest.

Why are AC parts more expensive on new systems?

Modern AC systems use variable-speed motors and sophisticated electronics for high efficiency. A condenser fan motor on a new R-454B system can cost $400-$500 — versus $100 on an older unit. Parts availability in aftermarket channels is still limited for newer systems. We factor real part costs into every fixed quote.

Are you licensed for AC installation in Spokane, WA?

They came to fix our A/C. They accurately diagnosed and repaired our air-conditioning in less than an hour. He even cleaned the inside of the A/C and made sure no mess was left behind. Very polite and professional.

He was able to come same day and gave us an hour window instead of 4 or 6 like other shops. He was clean, kind, professional, and very fast. He had all the parts and we are very satisfied.

I am so thankful for their friendly and professional service! They were able to schedule me quickly and diagnose my fridge issues immediately! There was a delay is service only because the manufacture had their email wrong, and our compressor took awhile to ship. As soon as the compressor arrived, Adam & Sam Brothers contacted me and scheduled repair the next day. It is such a relief to find a company that is professional through & through! They did exactly what they said they were going to do and even showed up on time to do the repair! Their contact info is permanently in my phone, just in case another HVAC decides to break down! Thank you!

We are so appreciative of this company's service. I called in the morning and was satisfied knowing that someone would help us with our dryer, which was full of wet clothing and no longer heating. The window of time for expecting a technician was accurate.A technician arrived at our home after 7 (p.m.) and worked till after 9 (p.m.)He rapidly and expertly assessed the problem. He had all the needed parts with him.He worked non-stop replacing parts,he also cleaned years of built up lint in the vent hose and I am now pleased to know how to maintain that myself. The technician was pleasant, professional, efficient, and thorough,as one would expect. We did receive an email invoice with the total charge only, however, it would be helpful if they would offer an itemized invoice. In hindsight,we were probably overcharged for the completed work.We agreed to the the offered quote as it was late in the evening,he traveled far and we were pleased to have him do a great job.I highly recommend Adam & Sam brothers repair.
