Refrigerator Repair in Kenmore, WA (ZIP 98028)

Kenmore’s position at the north end of Lake Washington — where the lake narrows to the Sammamish River outlet, where Kenmore Air’s floatplanes depart from the water, where Log Boom Park brings cyclists and families to the Burke-Gilman Trail’s lakeside route — creates an ambient freshwater humidity that is distinct from both the Puget Sound saltwater marine air of Edmonds and the dry Eastern Washington environment. Lake Washington’s freshwater moisture is gentler on refrigerator door seals and condenser coils than salt air, but more pronounced than in inland Snohomish County neighborhoods. Uplake homes along Lake Washington’s northern shore experience the most direct lake humidity — door gasket mold and seal deterioration appear in these lakeside properties at a rate that merits annual inspection.

Kenmore’s water comes from the same Cedar/Tolt River watershed supplying the broader Seattle metro — extremely soft, with essentially no hard water scale damage to refrigerator ice makers, water systems, or condenser coils. Refrigerator failures in Kenmore are mechanical: compressor wear, defrost system failure, ice maker module failure, and component aging. Adam & Sam Brothers Repair provides same-day refrigerator repair throughout all of Kenmore ZIP 98028 with a fixed quote before we start.

Refrigerator Service by Kenmore Neighborhood

Moorlands — Sammamish River, Inglewood Golf Club area, St. Edward State Park. Moorlands is Kenmore’s most affluent residential address — homes along the Sammamish River with the tranquility of the State Park forest nearby and the prestige of Inglewood Golf Club’s proximity. Sub-Zero column refrigerators and KitchenAid built-in panel-ready models are standard in Moorlands custom kitchens. Sub-Zero’s specific refrigeration architecture — separate refrigerator and freezer compressors, sealed system design, and the brand’s proprietary diagnostic indicators — requires a technician who knows the brand, not someone adapting a generic approach. We service Sub-Zero throughout Moorlands with the brand-specific knowledge these machines deserve. When Moorlands homeowners dine at Cedar + Elm in the evening and return to a Sub-Zero that isn’t cooling the next morning, they need a same-day service call from someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

Inglewood — tree-lined streets, St. Edward State Park trails, large lots. Inglewood’s single-family homes on generous lots amid mature Douglas firs have the dual appliance profile of an established premium neighborhood — newer custom homes with Sub-Zero and KitchenAid, established properties with LG and Samsung French door units purchased during 2010s renovations. LG linear compressor failure (2012+ units) is the most common Inglewood refrigerator call — these households renovated during the period when LG dominated the premium French door market, and the machines are now entering statistical peak failure range. We carry LG-specific diagnostic knowledge and give honest repair vs replacement assessments for Inglewood LG owners based on their specific unit’s age.

Uplake — Lake Washington shoreline, Burke-Gilman Trail, Log Boom Park area. The Uplake neighborhood’s lakeside homes — some of Kenmore’s most coveted real estate, with direct Lake Washington access and Burke-Gilman Trail running past — have premium refrigerators matching the setting. Lake humidity from Lake Washington is more noticeable here than anywhere else in Kenmore. A refrigerator that runs constantly in an Uplake lakeside home may have a door seal allowing lake-humid air in — increasing compressor cycles and accelerating wear. We inspect door gasket condition on every Uplake refrigerator call. Samsung French door ice maker module failures and LG compressor issues are the most frequent Uplake calls for recently installed mid-to-premium range refrigerators.

Northshore Summit — views, Wallace Swamp Creek Park, near Downtown Kenmore. Northshore Summit’s elevated position has homes from the 1980s-2000s with KitchenAid and Whirlpool refrigerators entering the 15-20 year range. Defrost system failures — ice buildup on the evaporator coil causing uneven temperatures — are the most common Northshore Summit refrigerator call. Older Whirlpool start relay failure, causing a clicking compressor that won’t stay running, also appears regularly from this neighborhood. These are inexpensive same-day repairs that extend the life of machines that still have years of service left.

Downtown Kenmore — NE Bothell Way, 73rd Ave NE, De La Soil and Kataliya Thai corridor. Downtown Kenmore’s apartment buildings along 73rd Ave NE near the Park & Ride have rental-grade Frigidaire and GE refrigerators. Door latch failures, gasket mold in the freshwater-humid environment, and condenser fouling in apartments where the refrigerator is never maintained are the standard Downtown Kenmore apartment refrigerator profile. The restaurants along NE Bothell Way — De La Soil, Kataliya Thai House, Toma Sushi, Buddha Bruddah, The Bine Beer & Food — generate commercial refrigeration calls alongside the residential service in surrounding streets.

Most Common Refrigerator Failures in Kenmore

LG linear compressor failure (2012+). Most common premium brand failure in Inglewood and Uplake. Complete cooling failure. Honest repair vs replacement assessment.

Sub-Zero sealed system service. Moorlands custom homes. Brand-specific diagnosis and repair.

Door gasket deterioration — Lake Washington humidity. Most pronounced in Uplake lakeside homes. Annual inspection recommended.

Samsung ice maker module failure. Uplake and Northshore Summit. $150-200+ — disclosed in fixed quote before work.

Defrost system failure on mid-age Whirlpool/KitchenAid. Northshore Summit 1980s-2000s homes. Evaporator ice buildup causing temperature issues.

They came to fix our A/C. They accurately diagnosed and repaired our air-conditioning in less than an hour. He even cleaned the inside of the A/C and made sure no mess was left behind. Very polite and professional.

He was able to come same day and gave us an hour window instead of 4 or 6 like other shops. He was clean, kind, professional, and very fast. He had all the parts and we are very satisfied.

I am so thankful for their friendly and professional service! They were able to schedule me quickly and diagnose my fridge issues immediately! There was a delay is service only because the manufacture had their email wrong, and our compressor took awhile to ship. As soon as the compressor arrived, Adam & Sam Brothers contacted me and scheduled repair the next day. It is such a relief to find a company that is professional through & through! They did exactly what they said they were going to do and even showed up on time to do the repair! Their contact info is permanently in my phone, just in case another HVAC decides to break down! Thank you!

We are so appreciative of this company's service. I called in the morning and was satisfied knowing that someone would help us with our dryer, which was full of wet clothing and no longer heating. The window of time for expecting a technician was accurate.A technician arrived at our home after 7 (p.m.) and worked till after 9 (p.m.)He rapidly and expertly assessed the problem. He had all the needed parts with him.He worked non-stop replacing parts,he also cleaned years of built up lint in the vent hose and I am now pleased to know how to maintain that myself. The technician was pleasant, professional, efficient, and thorough,as one would expect. We did receive an email invoice with the total charge only, however, it would be helpful if they would offer an itemized invoice. In hindsight,we were probably overcharged for the completed work.We agreed to the the offered quote as it was late in the evening,he traveled far and we were pleased to have him do a great job.I highly recommend Adam & Sam brothers repair.
