Oven, Stove & Range Repair in Poulsbo, WA

Poulsbo is a community built around gathering — Viking Fest, the Saturday Market, the waterfront, and homes where cooking matters. When the oven stops working, it disrupts more than dinner. Adam & Sam Brothers Repair provides same-day oven, stove, and range repair throughout Poulsbo and Kitsap County with a fixed quote and no surprises. We service everything from the standard Whirlpool range in a Poulsbo starter home to the Wolf dual-fuel range in a Liberty Bay waterfront kitchen — gas, electric, induction, and everything between.

Poulsbo’s marine climate creates one specific cooking appliance problem that Eastern Washington technicians don’t typically encounter: humidity-related igniter degradation. The coastal air’s moisture accelerates oxidation on gas burner igniters and burner ports. Poulsbo homeowners may notice that gas burners take longer to light, click repeatedly before igniting, or occasionally fail to light on the first attempt — months before the igniter actually fails completely. This is a pattern we see regularly on the Kitsap Peninsula. Catching it during a routine service visit costs far less than an emergency call when the oven completely refuses to light before a holiday dinner.

Most Common Oven Problems We Fix in Poulsbo

Gas oven not heating — ceramic igniter failure is the single most common gas oven repair in Poulsbo. The igniter weakens, loses the ability to open the safety valve, and the oven won’t light or lights inconsistently. In Poulsbo’s humid air, igniter oxidation accelerates this failure. Bake burner failure (more common than broil) is the second most frequent gas oven problem — the bake function is used far more often and wears faster. Gas valve failures occur but are much less common.

Electric oven not heating — bake element burnout is the most common electric oven failure in Poulsbo homes. On a conventional electric oven, a failed bake element is visible — it may show a burn mark or hole. The broil element fails less often. Temperature sensor drift causes the oven to cook unevenly or inaccurately — food burns or undercooks even when the oven shows the correct temperature. Control board failures are more common on newer ovens with advanced electronics. Lost phase at the breaker — where one leg of the 240V circuit trips — causes partial oven function. Our technicians check the breaker as part of every electric oven diagnosis in Poulsbo.

Gas range burners not lighting — clogged burner ports from cooking spills and Poulsbo’s damp air mixing with grease are very common on the Kitsap Peninsula. The spark module or individual spark electrode can also fail. We carry spark modules for all major brands and complete this repair same day throughout Poulsbo.

Induction cooktop issues — Poulsbo homes with higher-end kitchens increasingly feature induction cooktops. Induction inverter board failures and power supply issues are the most common induction cooktop problems we repair in Kitsap County.

Samsung ovens and ranges — Samsung oven and range parts are among the most difficult to source and most expensive in our experience. If your Poulsbo Samsung range has a problem, call us for an honest fixed quote — we will tell you clearly what the repair costs and whether it makes financial sense for your specific unit.

Fixed Quote Before We Start

Every oven and stove repair in Poulsbo starts with a full diagnosis and a fixed quote. No hidden fees. You approve — then we fix it. Call in the morning and in most cases we can be at your Poulsbo home the same day.

Frequently Asked Questions

My gas oven in Poulsbo won’t heat — what is wrong?

Most likely a failed ceramic igniter — Poulsbo’s coastal humidity accelerates igniter oxidation. The igniter can no longer reach the temperature needed to open the gas safety valve. This is a same-day repair we handle regularly on the Kitsap Peninsula. Bake element failure is the second most common cause.

He was able to come same day and gave us an hour window instead of 4 or 6 like other shops. He was clean, kind, professional, and very fast. He had all the parts and we are very satisfied.

I am so thankful for their friendly and professional service! They were able to schedule me quickly and diagnose my fridge issues immediately! There was a delay is service only because the manufacture had their email wrong, and our compressor took awhile to ship. As soon as the compressor arrived, Adam & Sam Brothers contacted me and scheduled repair the next day. It is such a relief to find a company that is professional through & through! They did exactly what they said they were going to do and even showed up on time to do the repair! Their contact info is permanently in my phone, just in case another HVAC decides to break down! Thank you!

We are so appreciative of this company's service. I called in the morning and was satisfied knowing that someone would help us with our dryer, which was full of wet clothing and no longer heating. The window of time for expecting a technician was accurate.A technician arrived at our home after 7 (p.m.) and worked till after 9 (p.m.)He rapidly and expertly assessed the problem. He had all the needed parts with him.He worked non-stop replacing parts,he also cleaned years of built up lint in the vent hose and I am now pleased to know how to maintain that myself. The technician was pleasant, professional, efficient, and thorough,as one would expect. We did receive an email invoice with the total charge only, however, it would be helpful if they would offer an itemized invoice. In hindsight,we were probably overcharged for the completed work.We agreed to the the offered quote as it was late in the evening,he traveled far and we were pleased to have him do a great job.I highly recommend Adam & Sam brothers repair.
